AAUW-Las Vegas is hosting a FUNdraiser in honor of our late honorary lifetime member Louise Drlik to benefit AAUW Tech Trek NM. Louise was an active and vital part of Las Vegas for over 50 years. Louise is shown in her Montezuma home (right).
During her long and adventurous life, she collected a great deal of art and craft items from around the world. Her children donated a large number of these items to AAUW Las Vegas and expressed the wish that we sell them and donate the money to Tech Trek NM.

AAUW Tech Trek NM
is a one week summer STEM camp for girls who are going into 8th grade. Normally it is a residential camp held on the campus of NM Tech (no relation) in Socorro. In 2021, the camp will be held virtually for the 2020 campers and the 2021 campers. Up to 60 girls from all over New Mexico attend Tech Trek NM every summer and share their curiosity about, enthusiasm for, and excitement about learning all things STEM.
It costs approximately $1200 per camper to put on Tech Trek NM every year. The families of campers are asked to pay only $50 for their daughter to attend. The rest of the money is raised by donations from individuals, AAUW branch fundraisers, and corporate and governmental grants.
All the planning, organizing, and fundraising work is done by AAUW-NM members on a volunteer basis.
