Our featured speaker, Sarah Urech, in a lively presentation, demonstrated to us that “The Time is Right to Do Power Differently.” Sarah, senior strategist for the Omega Women’s Leadership Center at the Omega Institute, Rhinebeck, NY, is the daughter of AAUW Las Vegas member, Beth Urech. She invited us to examine our relationships with power — within ourselves, our important relationships, and the larger world in an engaging and interactive presentation. We also talked about power FOR WHAT and how to reconnect with what matters most to us. During breakout sessions, we shared with our fellow AAUW members and focussed on how we can use our power for good.
